Great to meet you!

Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here.

I am Alyssa a licensed therapist dedicated to helping individuals find calm, clarity, and self-compassion in the midst of life’s challenges. My work centers around supporting people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, mental illness, and the emotional weight of change.

I provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can explore what’s holding you back and begin to rebuild a sense of peace and confidence. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based approach that helps people process painful memories, reduce anxiety, and move beyond patterns that keep them feeling stuck.

In addition to my work with anxiety and depression, I specialize in, adjustment to vision loss, helping clients navigate identity shifts and emotional adjustment with empathy and respect.

My goal is to walk alongside you as you rediscover your strengths, reconnect with yourself, and create a life that feels grounded and meaningful.

Whether you’re facing a new diagnosis, living with long-term vision changes, or simply seeking greater emotional balance, I offer a safe and supportive space where your story is honored and your healing journey begins.

Healing begins with being supported and you don’t have to take that step alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is open, client-centered, and collaborative. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you offering guidance, perspective, and tools for growth. Together, we’ll explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion, at a pace that feels right for you.

I draw from evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, EMDR and mindfulness-informed practices, while tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals. Whether we’re addressing anxiety, depression, adjustment to vision loss, mental illness or the pressures of athletic performance, our work will be grounded in mutual respect, authenticity, and trust.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can heal, gain insight, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, empowered, and fulfilling.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and any goals or concerns you’d like to focus on. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out, this time is about understanding your story and starting to shape a path forward together.

My goal is to make you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we begin this work. From there, we’ll collaborate to create a plan that aligns with your needs, pace, and personal values.
