Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Alyssa. I'm a Licensed Counselor. I have worked with various populations and from diverse backgrounds including trauma, anxiety, domestic abuse, substance abuse, depression, disordered eating, chronic illness and relationship problems.

A bit about my approach to therapy

While working with clients, I focus on their unique needs and strengths, utilizing appropriate evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I hold a safe, non-judgmental, and accepting presence for my clients, connecting with them warmly and authentically while working with them towards their goals.

What you can expect from our first session

My clients typically tell me that they both enjoy and benefit from therapy, despite some initial resistance they have before beginning. I take pride in making my clients feel comfortable, safe, validated, and supported. I am not your "textbook therapist," and many say they feel they are talking to a friend due to the relatability, humor, and humanness I provide in conjunction with professionalism. I work with my clients at their preferred pace while working towards achieving their goals.
