Great to meet you!

I’m Alyssa Galletto, a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than a decade of experience supporting individuals and families through life's tougher moments. I have an MS in Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University and a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University, and my work is rooted in evidence‐based approaches like Motivational Interviewing and CBT‐informed strategies. I specialize in anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and supporting people navigating chronic or complex health experiences, especially towards end of life. My style is calm, collaborative, and practical—I focus on helping you build clarity, strengthen your coping tools, and make meaningful progress at a pace that feels right. I’m committed to creating a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered in your growth.

My approach to therapy

I draw from evidence‐based methods like Motivational Interviewing and CBT‐informed strategies to help you understand what’s getting in the way and build tools that actually work in daily life. I believe therapy should feel like a supportive conversation where you can be honest, slow down, and make sense of what you’re carrying. Together, we focus on clarity, coping skills, and meaningful progress at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know one another and talking about what brought you to therapy right now. I’ll ask some gentle, open‐ended questions to understand your goals, your strengths, and what you’re hoping to change or feel differently about. We’ll also discuss what therapy can look like with me—my style, what’s important to you, and how we can work together in a way that feels comfortable and productive. By the end of the session, we’ll decide together whether it feels like a good fit and outline a few initial goals to guide our work moving forward.
