Hi, I’m Alyssa Goldberg, LCSW, the founder of The Good Enough Therapy Group. I specialize in eating disorders, addiction, anxiety, OCD, depression, and life transitions, helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. With years of experience in substance abuse treatment, private practice, and group therapy, I take a holistic approach to mental health, understanding that healing is about more than just the individual. I provide in-person therapy in Hoboken and Montclair, and HIPAA-compliant teletherapy across New Jersey, creating a safe, validating, and judgment-free space where real change happens.
I believe that therapy isn’t about fixing you, it’s about understanding yourself and finding what works for you. My approach is humanistic, integrative, and down-to-earth, pulling from CBT, DBT, psychoeducation, and person-centered therapy to individualize treatment for each client. I balance compassion with directness, helping clients unpack their symptoms, reframe challenges, and develop sustainable coping strategies. Above all, I create a real, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are and work at your own pace.
Clients can expect to leave sessions with a deeper understanding of their struggles, practical tools to navigate daily life, and the confidence to trust themselves in the process. My goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered while challenging unhelpful patterns and building resilience. Whether you’re here to manage anxiety, heal from trauma, or redefine your relationship with food and body image, I’ll meet you where you are, because good enough is more than enough.
