Great to meet you!

Hi! I am Alyssa, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with four years of clinical experience. I have found success working with people navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, people-pleasing and perfectionism. I have a specialty in Attachment, which allows us to understand how your upbringing shapes the way you operate in the world.

My approach to therapy

I look to understand your formative past experiences to learn how you were taught to approach life. From there, we will talk about the aspects of your experience that you would like carry with you and the aspects that may inadvertently not be serving you in the same way they once did. We may also discover parts of yourself that feel scared to be seen, which is a totally normal part of the process. We will work together to make those sensitive parts feel safe and heard. Through a mix of insight discovery and practical tools, we can work together to offer you an updated approach to life that feels in alignment with the fullest version of you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session together will hopefully feel like an exhale. My goal is to create an environment where you feel safe to share a bit about the things bringing you to therapy. In our first session, I provide information about the therapy process, tell you a bit about myself, and answer any questions, so that you get a feel for who I am as a therapist and feel seen and heard. I always work to bring warmth, empathy, and curiosity to every session.
