Great to meet you!

Alyssa Johnson, MA, LPC, graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree. Alyssa has been practicing in Colorado Springs since 2015.

Alyssa is mind, body, energy certified and uses mindfulness, meditation, grounding, movement, energy, CBT, and DBT techniques to assist in the therapeutic process. She treats anxiety, depression, life transitions, body image, self-esteem, and eating disorders for those 13+.

My approach to therapy

Alyssa believes that therapy is a deeply personal and transformative process. Her gentle and empathic approach will help to create a safe and non-judgmental space as she helps clients to explore the root of their pain. Her practice is centered on teaching clients how to transform pain into internal sources of empowerment through a mind-body approach. Using a careful balance between talk therapy and experiential techniques allows for her clients to have deeper transformations and healing.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to learn coping strategies, tools for managing their symptoms, how to transform emotional pain into empowerment, gain insight on the root of their issue, and how to deepen their relationship with themselves and their emotions.
