Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience working with adults across a variety of mental health and behavioral health settings, including PHP, IOP, outpatient treatment, and corrections/reentry services. I specialize in addiction and have additional training as an Addiction Counselor (ACT) and in obsessive gambling counseling, but my practice extends well beyond substance use.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, while also being a place where you can be challenged to grow. I’m open-minded, honest, and I bring a practical, judgment-free approach to helping clients better understand themselves and create meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine conversation, not a place where you’re simply talked at or given a list of things to do. My style is supportive, honest, and direct. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself while also feeling comfortable being challenged when it can help you move forward.

I use CBT as my primary approach and incorporate trauma-informed care, ACT, DBT, solution-focused strategies, and other approaches depending on what makes sense for you. I also place a strong emphasis on education because I believe understanding why we think, feel, and behave the way we do can be an important part of creating change.

Whether you’re navigating addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, build practical skills, and make changes that feel meaningful and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to share what brought you to therapy, at whatever pace feels comfortable for you. I believe in meeting clients where they’re at rather than making assumptions about what they need or where they “should” be.

We’ll talk about what you’re experiencing, what you hope to get out of therapy, and what you would like to work toward. From there, we can begin identifying goals and finding an approach that feels realistic and meaningful for you. You can expect an open, judgment-free conversation where you’re encouraged to be honest and yourself. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the work ahead.
