Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years of experience supporting teens and adults through a wide range of life challenges. I earned my undergraduate degree from Williams College and my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from UMass Dartmouth. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth—I want therapy to feel like a space where you can be completely yourself while also being challenged and supported in making meaningful changes. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, stress, self-esteem issues, and major life transitions, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. I believe therapy should be individualized rather than one-size-fits-all, and I focus on helping clients gain insight, build practical skills, and create changes that carry over into their everyday lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and genuine. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change, and I strive to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where clients can speak openly and feel truly understood. I tailor therapy to each person rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and other evidence-based strategies. I balance empathy and validation with practical tools and gentle challenges that help clients recognize patterns, develop healthier ways of coping, and move toward the life and relationships they want. My goal is for therapy to feel supportive and approachable while also being purposeful, helping clients create meaningful changes both inside and outside of sessions.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, collaborative relationship. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what’s currently going on in your life, and what you’d like to get out of our work together. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, relationships, strengths, and challenges, while giving you plenty of space to share at your own pace. You don’t need to come prepared with exactly what to say or have everything figured out—the goal is to start where you are, identify what feels most important, and begin developing a plan for moving forward.
