Alyssa Simmonds

My name is Alyssa Simmonds, owner of Transformations Counseling. I obtained my undergraduate degree from University of Florida in Psychology and my Master's of Science in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I specialize in PTSD and trauma-related disorders as well as perinatal mental health with a vested interest in infertility and IVF. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and hold an perinatal mental health certification from Postpartum Support international (PSI).

I believe each client is unique and should be treated as such. I tailor the interventions utilized based on the needs of the client and the collaboration of myself and the client. I believe therapy should be solution-focused and utilize an integrative approach to get clients to achieve their overarching goals.

Clients can expect a positive, warm environment in the session that allows for a safe environment to disclose difficult or sensitive information. I manage each client's goals and objectives closely to ensure that treatment is on track and the client is making strides toward the results they are hoping to achieve.
