Hello! I'm Alyssa and I'm so excited to be (potentially) working with you! I have always enjoyed helping others so I figured why not make a career out of it? I got my Bachelors in Psychology at Vanguard University and my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University. I've been working in a mental health center for the last 5 years and have been seeing individual clients for over 2 years. I'm looking forward to getting to know you!
I believe in being very open minded with my clients and encouraging them to also be open minded. Seeing a new perspective can be a game changer for us and I really challenge my clients to explore areas they maybe hadn't thought about approaching before. I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma and self-esteem!
Clients can expect that I will challenge them and also create a comfortable environment where they can be open, honest, and vulnerable with their feelings. I will always ask what their goals are and how I can best support them in their mental health journey.
