Great to meet you!

My psychology journey started at Ramapo College of New Jersey, continuing to Fairleigh Dickinson University and many internships and practicums, all which led me to where I am now. I have worked in different types of facilities, with the ultimate goal of having my own practice so I can focus on each individual client, while taking my own approach. I have worked at inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities, schools, and private practice, with both adolescent and adult populations. My strengths lie in treating everyone as an individual and tackling struggles as a team. Specific treatment areas include anxiety, depression, stress management, ADD/ADHD, and every/any life stressors that make things seem too heavy to do alone, sometimes.

My approach to therapy

The way I approach therapy, depends on who I am working with, and what specific needs there are. However, there are some things that are universal within sessions. I approach each session with enthusiasm and warmth, while working towards whatever goals are set, using which approach is appropriate for you. I do like to have a loose structure for sessions, such as check-in, talk about the goal or whatever you're feeling, then wrap-up and set a goal. This can vary and change depending on your needs, however all does revolve around strengths, solutions, and whatever therapy modality is appropriate for the situation.

What you can expect from me

I like to provide a doorway to a warm and inviting conversation. This session is the beginning of a journey that I am privileged to be a part of. I love to get to know not only what you're looking for out of therapy, but who you are as a person, what your day looks like, what your struggles and dreams are. The first session can feel overwhelming, so my goal, is to understand what brings you to therapy, and then work with you on what you would like to get out of the process. If you are unsure about this part, we will figure it out together. Being solution-focused and using different individually tailored approaches to therapy, we will come up with some goals and ways to get there. I will have some questions for you, and look forward to answering any questions you have for me, and starting the process of getting to know you so we can form/reach your goals. If any assessments were taken prior to this, we will process these as well. Thank you for the opportunity for letting me get to know you and be a part of your voyage!
