I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I specialize in supporting clients, as early as 17 - 18 years old, navigating through the trials of life. My primary focus is on trauma and the many debilitating side effects trauma can have on other aspects of life. I have been in practice for 5 years and have been inspired throughout my career by my own personal experiences. Such inspiration has served to help me relate to clients on a deeper level.
My style is one of collaboration, meeting clients at their level of readiness and supporting clients in their current needs. While my main focus is in trauma, I also work extensively with depression and anxiety. Adversities typically faced by the clients I work with are: struggles stemming form their family of origin during childhood, infertility or motherhood challenges, relationship challenges, and traumatic experiences.
I begin every therapy session with a focus on the therapeutic relationship; building trust and allowing clients the opportunity to share their experiences and what is important to them. From there, together we decide on a goal to work toward and how to best achieve that goal. You can expect to walk away from a session with me feeling heard and validated and to know that you are not alone.
