Great to meet you!

Alyx M. Schimpf, LCPC Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling and over three years of experience supporting adults, children, and adolescents through some of life’s most difficult challenges. I focus on working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, PTSD, and the impacts of sexual assault.

Whether I’m working with a child experiencing panic attacks, a teen processing trauma, or a family navigating the complexities of neurodiversity, I approach each case with compassion, curiosity, and a commitment to fostering resilience and hope. I believe that with the right support, every child has the capacity to grow, heal, and thrive.

My approach to therapy

I use a blend of evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and play therapy—to meet each client where they are and help them move toward healing in a way that feels safe and developmentally appropriate. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where clients can express themselves freely, learn coping skills, and begin to make sense of their experiences.

What you can expect from me

Whether I’m working with a child experiencing panic attacks, a teen processing trauma, or a family navigating the complexities of neurodiversity, I approach each case with compassion, curiosity, and a commitment to fostering resilience and hope. I believe that with the right support, every person has the capacity to grow, heal, and thrive.
