Great to meet you!

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychobiology from UCLA and my master's degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Walden University.

With over 20 years of direct patient care experience, including 16 years in the hospital setting, I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care using a holistic, patient-centered approach. I believe that mental health is the foundation of overall well-being and that treatment should address the whole person, not just their symptoms.

I diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, insomnia, and other mood and behavioral disorders. I also have a special interest in women's mental health, including pregnancy and postpartum mental health, PMDD, perimenopause and menopause, infertility-related concerns, and caregiver stress.

I believe in partnering with my patients to develop individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, lifestyle modifications, and coordination with therapists and other healthcare providers when appropriate. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, empowered, and actively involved in your care. I closely monitor your progress and adjust treatment as needed to help you achieve lasting emotional wellness and an improved quality of life.

My approach to therapy

I provide compassionate, patient-centered, empowering, and evidence-based care tailored to each individual's unique needs. I take a holistic, solution-focused approach by considering your mental, physical, and emotional well-being when developing a personalized treatment plan. I believe in empowering my patients through education, collaboration, and shared decision-making so they feel confident and actively involved in their care. Together, we focus on identifying strengths, building practical coping skills, and creating realistic solutions to overcome challenges. I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and encouraged. I also collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate and closely monitor your progress to ensure your treatment remains effective and aligned with your goals. My ultimate goal is to help you reduce symptoms, build resilience, improve your quality of life, and achieve lasting mental wellness.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my priority is getting to know you and understanding what brings you in for care. We will discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, family history, lifestyle, and treatment goals. This comprehensive evaluation helps me develop an accurate diagnosis and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Together, we will review your treatment options, discuss the benefits and potential risks of each approach, and develop a plan that aligns with your goals and preferences. Whether that includes medication, therapy, lifestyle modifications, or a combination of treatments, my goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, empowered, and with a clear understanding of the next steps in your mental health journey.
