My approach to therapy

As a doctorate-prepared Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I work with clients using a collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based approach that honors the whole person—mind, body, family, and environment. My style is warm, respectful, and nonjudgmental, with an emphasis on building trust and creating a safe space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to participate actively in their care.

What you can expect from me

I integrate psychiatric and primary care perspectives to provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across the lifespan. I focus on understanding not only symptoms, but also the personal, cultural, social, and biological factors that shape each client’s experience. Treatment plans are individualized and may include psychotherapy, medication management, lifestyle and behavioral health interventions.

Throughout my work, I prioritize patient education, shared decision-making, and long-term wellness rather than symptom suppression alone. My goal is to help clients build insight, resilience, and practical skills that support sustainable mental and emotional health, while respecting their values, strengths, and life goals.
