Great to meet you!

Hello, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) practicing in California. My focus is on treating individuals who are experiencing life stressors, symptoms of anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress disorder. I take a person-centered and collaborative approach to therapy through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with a warm, client-centered style. I truly believe that the client is the expert and look forward to taking this journey with you.

My journey to becoming a therapist began with the motivation to help others. I am passionate about understanding the needs of others and helping them learn skills that enable my clients to handle difficult and distressing thoughts and feelings more effectively, to help them learn skills and techniques to manage and reduce their distress. My goal is to provide therapy that is tailored to each individual in a safe, warm, confidential space where you can examine your situation and move forward to recover and heal. I strive to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is focused on the needs and concerns of the client through the creation of safety and trust. The multimodal approach to therapy allows me the opportunity to collaboratively tailor treatment goals, objectives, and interventions to the needs and concerns of each client. Trust, non-judgment, compassion, and respect create the foundation of my approach to the therapeutic process. I was trained as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and I also trained in EMDR.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where we get to know each other and begin building trust. I believe that everyone has the ability to change and grow; readiness depends on each individual. I place a high value on careful listening, empathy, and accountability.
