Great to meet you!

I have been in practice for over 10 years. I am deeply committed to aligning with my clients and establishing a teamwork-based approach to develop strategies, skills, and insight that provide lasting impact. I very much enjoy working with medical professionals, graduate students, fist responders, athletes, business owners/execs, military and military spouses, academics, and and motivated people ready to invest in the work. Over the past five years, I was also fortunate to have the opportunity to serve as the sole embedded civilian psychologist for a active duty SOF search and rescue unit. I'm highly skilled in treating anxiety, relationship concerns, phase of life changes and transitions, vocational issues, burnout, chronic stress, and trauma. I earned my PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Tennessee and have specializations in Sport/Performance Psychology and Executive Coaching. I also love teaching yoga and integrating mindfulness-based interventions into my clinical practice. I am affirming of the full spectrum of human diversity and hold advocacy as a core tenant of my personal and professional ethos.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is highly collaborative and participatory. I value the client as the expert and see my role as providing facilitation, support, challenge, education, problem-solving, and recommendations. Ultimately, I invest deeply in the relationship with each client and see our time together as a opportunity for teamwork and partnership, providing a strong foundation to explore challenges, change, and healing. I also tend to provide additional supplementary materials and resources that clients can choose to utilize between sessions to accelerate their progress and enhance their own skills.

What you can expect from me

A first session is a chance to establish a strong working relationship, an opportunity to establish fit and trust, and a starting ground for understanding your motives for seeking services - these guideposts will point us toward co-creating a roadmap for future goals and progress.
