Amanda Anderson

Hi, I'm Mandy! I have a background in trauma-informed care, religious trauma, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, Veterans, caregiver support, and elder care. I received my LCSW in July 2025, though I've been working in behavioral health for over eight years. I specialize in trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy and person-centered, goal-oriented care, and I graduated with my Master of Social Work in 2019 from Louisiana State University.

My areas of concentration include Veterans, trauma, LGBTQIA+ care, grief, and gender-specific care concerns. I focus on the treatment of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, religious trauma, and bipolar disorder. I also bring experience working with caregivers and elders in need of mental and behavioral health services.

I like to determine a patient's goals and needs. We specialize your treatment to ensure the most effective methods are used to assist in providing support and coordination of additional resources. This can include determining care supports for patients where they live for medication or building person-centered coping skills to better assist the patient with navigating difficult situations. We work as a team to ensure the best outcomes for you while learning more about how your mental health impacts your life.

Typically, we determine goals regarding your direct needs first. We do sessions to learn about your concerns, address historical issues, behavioral modification, and emotional coping strategies to ensure the best possible impact to your daily life.
