Great to meet you!

If anxiety or depression is making everyday life feel harder than it should, you don't have to keep figuring it out alone. I'm Amanda, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), and I help people navigate anxiety, depression, overwhelming emotions, and patterns that can leave them feeling stuck. I understand that mental health struggles don't always fit neatly into one category, and you deserve support that looks at the full picture of what you're experiencing.

My approach combines practical tools with a deeper understanding of the patterns behind your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I'm passionate about helping clients build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and create meaningful changes in their lives. Whether you're dealing with persistent worry, low mood, relationship difficulties, or more complex emotional challenges, we'll work together to find a path forward that fits your needs.

My approach to therapy

I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients understand their emotions, recognize unhelpful patterns, and develop practical skills for managing life's challenges. CBT helps us examine the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while DBT focuses on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and healthier relationships.

I initially focus on helping clients manage anxiety and depression, while also supporting people with more complex and persistent emotional and behavioral patterns. My goal is to meet you where you are, build on your strengths, and give you tools you can use outside of therapy. Therapy isn't about expecting you to change overnight; it's about understanding what's happening, practicing new approaches, and making progress that lasts.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity to talk about what's been going on and what you want to change. We'll explore the challenges you're facing, how they've been affecting your daily life, and what you've already tried. Together, we'll begin identifying goals and discuss how approaches like CBT and DBT may help you move forward. You don't need to know exactly where to start or have everything figured out. We'll work collaboratively to develop a plan that fits your needs, at a pace that feels manageable.
