Great to meet you!

I'm a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and I keep things straightforward, compassionate, and down-to-earth. Think of me as a dedicated ally in your corner: I’ll advocate for you on the tough days, celebrate your wins, and bring plenty of warmth, respect, and humor to our time together. I have a special focus on Adult ADHD and I also regularly treat anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, and women’s mental health/PMDD. My practice is 100% virtual, making appointments easy to fit into your busy life. I accept most major commercial insurance plans.

My approach to therapy

My approach to providing care is first and foremost to listen to you. I want to hear your story and understand what you are experiencing. I'm very casual and conversational and tend to put people at ease. I'm non-judgmental because I know how difficult it can be to seek help. I will bring my clinical expertise to the table as we work together to explore the best treatment options for you. I don't use flow charts or have cookie-cutter treatment plans. Sometimes there are choices regarding medication, and I like to explain what your choices are so you have a voice in your care.

What you can expect from me

Our first session together is unique because there is a lot of background information I need to collect to help me understand more about you, your history, and maybe your family history. For this reason, I would say the first appointment is the most "clinical" in how it feels. I take as much time as I can during our first appointment to hear how you are feeling and what your goals are. I try to provide a possible diagnosis the first appointment, and usually will give medication options as well. Sometimes a second appointment is needed for longer evaluations, like ADHD, because there is a lot to cover and I want to make sure we don't rush. I enjoy providing psychoeducation about different mental health conditions, and also breaking down some of the stigma and mystery to medication as a treatment option.
