Great to meet you!

If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just exhausted from running on autopilot, you don’t need generic advice, you need real, grounded support. I’m Amanda Boone, an LPC and LCDC, and my approach is straightforward, practical, and completely BS-free. I help individuals cut through the noise, make sense of what’s holding them back, and build lasting, meaningful change.

Therapy with me isn’t a rigid, textbook exercise. It’s an active, collaborative space where we tackle the root of what’s going on, not just the surface symptoms. I blend evidence-based methods with a direct, down-to-earth communication style so you can safely explore your experiences and build stronger self-awareness.

My primary focus is helping clients process heavy trauma, navigate major life transitions, and rebuild a solid foundation of self-trust. I also specialize in managing ADHD, anxiety, depression, and burnout, giving you practical tools to regulate your system instead of feeling constantly drained. Additionally, I work closely with substance use, dependency, and breaking destructive cycles, all within an authentically LGBTQ+ affirming and completely nonjudgmental space.

Healing starts when you don’t have to filter who you are. Whether you are ready to break an old pattern or completely reset your direction, we will do the work together.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is straightforward, down-to-earth, and entirely real. I don’t sit back nodding politely or drowning you in clinical jargon. Instead, we work collaboratively to cut straight to the core of what’s actually keeping you stuck. I integrate trauma-informed methods, cognitive-behavioral tools, and practical nervous system regulation, but the focus is always on real-world application rather than rigid theory.

You get an authentic, nonjudgmental space where you don’t have to filter yourself or pretend you have it all together. We’ll untangle the root causes behind old patterns, build real self-trust, and give you practical tools to handle whatever life throws at you. My goal isn't just to help you cope, it’s to give you the clarity, insight, and momentum to genuinely reset your life on your own terms.

What you can expect from me

Your first session isn't an interrogation or an awkward test—it’s a relaxed, low-pressure conversation to figure out where you’re at and where you want to go. We’ll talk about what brought you in, the patterns or stressors that are wearing you down, and what a real reset actually looks like for you. You don’t need to have a polished script or everything figured out; just show up as you are.

We will map out the big picture, talk through any immediate goals or concerns, and make sure we’re the right fit to work together. By the time we wrap up, you’ll have a clear sense of how we’ll tackle things moving forward and practical next steps so you leave feeling grounded, heard, and with a concrete plan instead of feeling left hanging.
