Great to meet you!

I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice and board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 23 years of nursing experience. My background includes six years of teaching baccalaureate nursing students at Indiana University, where I developed a passion for education, mentorship, and helping others achieve their full potential.

My clinical interests include ADHD, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, and bipolar spectrum disorders. I am passionate about helping individuals improve their emotional well-being, build resilience, and find greater balance and fulfillment in their daily lives.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and making the most of sunny days. I believe that meaningful connections, balance, and self-care are important parts of overall well-being, both personally and professionally.

My approach to therapy

My approach to mental health care is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I believe that every individual has a unique story, and effective treatment begins with listening, understanding each person's experiences, and developing a treatment plan that aligns with their needs and goals. I strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their mental health.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a 90-minute appointment focused on getting to know you and understanding your unique needs. We will take time to explore your medical, mental health, and personal history, discuss your current concerns, and identify your goals for treatment. This initial visit is an opportunity for you to share your story, ask questions, and discuss what you hope to achieve. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you feel heard and understood, and to work together to develop an individualized treatment plan that supports your mental health and overall well-being.
