Great to meet you!

I earned my master's degree in 2014, and I have completed all coursework and clinical requirements toward a doctorate of psychology (PsyD). Throughout my training and education, I specialized in forensic psychology and neuropsychology. These interests offered me opportunities to work with diverse individuals across various treatment settings, including community mental health, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, correctional facilities, medical hospitals, and private practice.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I take a behavioral approach to therapy, drawing from relational theory and mindfulness-based approaches. I utilize methods from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which are evidence-based approaches designed to promote emotional and cognitive regulation. Additionally, my background in neuropsychology influences my approach to therapy in considering how one’s brain and biology impact cognition and behavior.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe the relationship between therapist and client is crucial to successful therapy and that change starts with being truly heard and understood. There are many techniques and ideas that can help you, and my role is to share these, build on your strengths, and increase your self-awareness so that you can make meaningful changes in your life.
