Great to meet you!

Amanda primarily works with adolescents and adults, though she recently has enjoyed family therapy and working with children. She continues to enjoy working with adolescents and young adults, helping them navigate emotional growth and life transitions. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Psychology at Liberty University.

In Amanda’s spare time, she enjoys baking, gardening, hunting, and fishing; anything outdoors she is most likely doing! She also enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and family/friends. The most important aspect of Amanda’s career is to find ways to show clients how to become the healthiest version of themselves.

My approach to therapy

As part of Amanda’s work as a counselor, she tends to operate from a Narrative approach or Solution-focused approach, which means that as a client, you could expect to see change and a difference in the behaviors, as well as learning how to achieve the highest potential through growth and new development.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to be welcomed by an energetic, compassionate therapist who is fully present and committed to creating a safe, supportive environment. Amanda approaches each session without judgment and strives to genuinely empathize with whatever you are experiencing. During our first meeting, we will begin building rapport, discuss your goals, and explore what you hope to gain from therapy. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and confident that you have someone on your team who is here to support you.
