Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Doctorate in Social Work (from Tulane university) and a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Florida State University. I have been practicing as an LCSW since 2007 and bring extensive experience working with individuals and families across both civilian and military communities.

My professional background includes specialized work in military social work, domestic violence, and child abuse prevention and intervention. These experiences have shaped my compassionate, trauma-informed approach to care.

I provide individual and marital counseling, helping clients navigate life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional stressors. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their strengths, build resilience, and work toward personal growth and healing.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in respect for each client’s unique experiences and goals. I believe in creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where individuals and couples can explore challenges, strengthen coping skills, and build healthier relationships.

Drawing from evidence-based practices, I tailor my interventions to meet each client’s needs. My work often integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, and trauma-informed care. I place a strong emphasis on empowerment and helping clients recognize their own strengths and capacity for change.

With a background in military social work, domestic violence, and child abuse, I bring a deep understanding of the impact of trauma, transitions, and family stressors. Whether working with individuals or couples, my focus is on promoting healing, resilience, and meaningful personal growth.

What you can expect from me

My therapeutic style is collaborative, compassionate, and goal-oriented. I strive to create a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to share openly and work through challenges at their own pace. I view therapy as a partnership—together, we identify your goals, explore patterns that may be holding you back, and develop practical strategies for lasting change.

I draw from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs. My background in military social work, domestic violence, and child abuse allows me to bring both structure and sensitivity to complex emotional and relational issues.

Typical goals in my work with clients include improving communication, building emotional resilience, managing stress and trauma, and strengthening relationships. Whether in individual or marital counseling, my aim is to help clients gain insight, develop healthier coping skills, and move toward greater balance, confidence, and fulfillment in their daily lives.
