Great to meet you!

Hi there! I am so proud of you for taking the first step and looking for someone to help you through whatever is going on for you.

My name is Amanda Crane, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut. I have experience working with various ages and have a particular interest in helping others manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD and trauma.

I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and honest, and I want therapy to feel like a partnership. You don’t need to know exactly what you want to talk about—we can figure that out together. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build tools that actually work for you, and feel more confident navigating life. Most importantly, I want you to feel heard, understood, and supported along the way.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is mostly about getting to know one another and getting a better understanding of what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask lots of questions about what’s been going on, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy.

This is also a chance for you to get a feel for me and decide whether I’m someone you feel comfortable working with (I know not everyone catches a vibe, and that's okay!). We’ll talk about what has been challenging, what’s going well, and what you’d like to be different. My goal is to learn enough about you to make the time we spend together meaningful, helpful, and specific to what you actually need. You don’t need to prepare anything or have all the answers; we’ll take it from there together.
