Great to meet you!

My work is grounded in creating a space that is both supportive and honest—where you can explore challenges without judgment while also being guided toward meaningful, lasting change. I believe therapy should go beyond insight. It should help you understand what is keeping you stuck and give you the tools to shift it.

My approach integrates evidence-based modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), with a strong focus on real-world application. I help clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and work collaboratively to identify and change patterns that no longer serve them.

I specialize in working with trauma, high-functioning individuals, and those navigating pressure in relationships, parenting, leadership, and personal expectations. Many of my clients are used to managing a significant internal load while maintaining a high level of performance externally.

My professional path has been shaped not only by clinical training, but by experience in high-stakes environments. My time serving in the military deepened my understanding of stress, resilience, and the barriers that often prevent people from seeking support. That experience continues to inform my work, particularly in helping clients navigate pressure, responsibility, and the cost of carrying so much alone.

In addition to trauma-focused work, I incorporate mindfulness and resilience-based strategies to strengthen self-awareness, emotional regulation, and the ability to respond—rather than react—in challenging moments.

Outside of my work, I value staying connected to both physical and mental well-being. I enjoy spending time with family, being outdoors with my dog, and working on projects that allow me to build and create.

My approach to therapy

  • Quickly identifies behavioral and cognitive patterns that contribute to client distress and stagnation
  • Helps clients recognize subtle self-reinforcing dynamics that maintain unwanted outcomes
  • Focuses on developing clarity, personal ownership, and actionable pathways for change
  • Moves beyond insight-oriented therapy to emphasize measurable, real-world behavioral shifts
  • Utilizes evidence-based practices grounded in the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors
  • Integrates practical application strategies to ensure therapeutic concepts translate into daily life
  • Specializes in aligning client actions with personal values, goals, and identity (not perfection-driven)
  • Provides structured, results-oriented therapy aimed at sustainable change rather than temporary relief
  • Incorporates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to process unresolved experiences and reduce emotional intensity
  • Applies EMDR not only for trauma, but also for anxiety, stress, and entrenched behavioral patterns
  • Creates a therapeutic environment that replaces avoidance with awareness and intentional action

What you can expect from me

Your first session is best understood as a focused, clinical “meet and greet.” It is an opportunity for you to get a sense of how I work and to determine whether I am the right fit for you.

During this time, I will guide you through a structured conversation that explores both your current concerns and the broader context of your life. This includes understanding factors related to your biology, environment, and experiences that may be impacting your mental health.

We will also begin to clarify what you want from therapy—what feels unresolved, where you feel stuck, and what meaningful change would look like for you. From there, we will collaboratively outline initial goals and discuss a direction for our work together.

Equally important, this session is your opportunity to ask questions, assess the dynamic, and ensure you feel comfortable moving forward. A strong therapeutic fit matters, and this process is designed with that in mind.

Sessions typically last between 45–60 minutes.
