Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Amanda Donis, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I believe prioritizing your mental health is one of the most courageous steps toward building lasting happiness, stability, and true self-sufficiency. My background spans over 6 years of experience in crisis intervention, community outreach, and dedicated clinical practice — and I work with individuals of all ages navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, stress, anger, relationship challenges, identity questions, and family issues. I also have experience supporting women's issues, men's issues, maternal mental health (including postpartum and pregnancy), cultural and ethnic identity, and end of life concerns. Whether you're processing generational cycles, navigating a major life transition, or rebuilding a stronger sense of self, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and affirming space where you feel heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools to move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, respectful, integrative, and adaptive to your unique needs, strengths, and goals. I believe every person's journey is different, so I meet clients exactly where they are while helping them build the skills and insight needed to move toward lasting change. In session, we may work on identifying patterns that keep you stuck, processing life transitions or trauma, breaking generational cycles, strengthening emotional regulation, building practical coping tools, and developing a stronger sense of personal autonomy. My style is practical, direct, grounded, and deeply empathetic. I believe therapy should help you move beyond survival mode and toward a life that feels more authentic, stable, self-sufficient, and aligned with who you want to become.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a grounded, nonjudgmental environment where we begin by understanding what brings you to therapy and what kind of support would feel most helpful. We will talk about your current challenges, your personal history, your strengths, and the goals you want to work toward. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, generational patterns, a major life transition, or a period of crisis, we will begin creating a path that feels realistic and supportive. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and clearer about the next steps we can take together toward healing, autonomy, and meaningful change.
