Great to meet you!

I hold a Bachelors of Social Work (BSW) from Christopher Newport University and a Masters in Social Work (MSW) with a clinical concentration from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). I have been practicing in the field of social work since 2015. My initial focus was child welfare working with children in foster care until I transitioned to outpatient mental health therapy.

My approach to therapy

My theoretical orientation stems from systems theory, trauma-informed care and mindfulness. I primarily utilize supportive therapy, CBT and psychodynamic but also pull from modalities such as ACT, DBT, MI, IPT and inner-child work. I provide individual therapy to individuals 12 years and older, offer family therapy, and I am LGBTQIA+ affirming.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is focused on getting to know one another, identifying therapeutic needs, and assessment of fit between Clinician and client.
