In our first session, clients can expect a supportive, relaxed, and judgment-free environment where we begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so my goal is to help clients feel comfortable, heard, and understood from the beginning. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, the challenges you’ve been facing, and the goals you hope to work toward—whether that involves burnout, stress, anxiety, boundaries, motivation, relationships, self-confidence, or reconnecting with yourself physically and emotionally.
I take a collaborative and strengths-based approach, meaning I’m not only focused on symptoms or problems, but also on identifying your existing strengths, resilience, and abilities. During the first session, I’ll ask questions about your background, lifestyle, stressors, relationships, coping patterns, and overall emotional well-being to gain a deeper understanding of your experiences and what may be contributing to feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
Clients can also expect practical support and real conversation. I often incorporate mindfulness, coping skills, mind-body awareness, and goal-setting early in the process so therapy feels both insightful and actionable.
Together, we’ll begin identifying patterns that may no longer be serving you and explore realistic ways to create healthier habits, stronger boundaries, and a more sustainable balance in your life. My approach is compassionate, down-to-earth, and collaborative, with the goal of helping clients feel empowered, supported, and hopeful about change.
