Great to meet you!

Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I believe everyone deserves the chance to have a safe and warm place to share and explore all the complexities of their lives, and I strive to provide that in my counseling sessions. In the past, I have worked with a variety of ages, genders, and backgrounds and now currently focus on adults aged 18+ who are navigating anxiety, depression, and all types of relationship struggles, especially those who are navigating life during or after high-control religious experiences.

My approach to therapy

Everyone has their own unique story and approach to life and I strive to listen and provide a sense of warmth and safety so you feel as comfortable as possible with sharing the things you care about as well as the things you’re struggling with. I use a gentle and collaborative approach in my sessions to help you work towards your goals. I completely understand that therapy can be really hard and vulnerable work, so I work with you towards moving to change at your own pace.

What you can expect from me

My goal in our first session is to make you feel as comfortable and safe as possible. I’ll work with you in that initial session to put into words what goals you have for yourself and how we might be able to work towards achieving them. From there in future sessions, we’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you to achieving those goals with me providing guidance, feedback, interventions, and gentle challenges or pushes if needed.
