I have worked with a diverse client population, ranging from adults with major mental illness, survivors of domestic violence, students struggling with depression and anxiety, and individuals struggling with relationship and attachment issues. It is my goal to make anyone who enters the therapeutic space with me feel seen, heard, validated, and safe, in order to facilitate true therapeutic healing and assist you in reaching your full potential.
My approach to therapy is eclectic, collaborative, and culturally sensitive, utilizing mindfulness, psychodynamic, person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and dialectical-behavioral therapeutic techniques to best fit the unique needs of each client. As the proud daughter of immigrants and a Latina woman, I also value exploring how systemic stressors influence our life experiences and worldview. I believe the client is the expert in their own life experiences, and it is my privilege to help guide you as you deepen your understanding of yourself and how you show up in the world.
Our first session will look a bit more structured as we go through introductory assessments. I will aim to gather information about your presenting issues, as well as your hopes for your therapy journey and goals you would like to work towards. I look forward to meeting you, hearing you, and getting you started on your path to healing.
