Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! My name is Amanda and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I was initially licensed in 2017, but have been working with children, adolescents and adults in schools and community mental health since 2010. My current population focus is adults. My goal for our work together is to help you feel better, number one, doing so by listening attentively to your thoughts, feelings and needs, building you up to help you recognize your strengths and abilities, and ultimately foster your self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-efficacy to support your growth and development. I'm here to support you, process your experiences, foster acceptance, and help challenge negative thoughts and perceptions so that you can feel better about who you are now and what you do next.

My approach to therapy

I approach each therapy session as though the client is the expert in their life and their areas of need. Together, we will explore any issues, barriers, and successes to build confidence and self-acceptance.

What you can expect from me

We will build rapport, discuss your concerns and goals, review what to expect from therapy, and make a plan for the next session.
