Great to meet you!

Coming from a family of veterans and first responders, and with my own background in clinical case management with formerly unhoused veterans, clients transitioning out of the justice system, and clients working on their relationships with substances through a harm reduction lens, I know how deeply challenging life can get, and I recognize how important it is to hear everyone's story and approach them where they are. I believe all humans have the ability to self-heal, but that is much better accomplished with an affirming, non-judgmental support system. I specialize in trauma and grief processing, life transitions, end-of-life work, and relationship building.

In addition to my clinical licensure, I hold a certification in military social work practice, and I am a certified yoga instructor.

My approach to therapy

My work is extremely person-centered and guided by neurobiological principles. I want to get to know YOU because each person processes the world differently. Depending on the situation, we may work on recognizing and addressing the cues your body is giving you or address thought patterns and triggers. Whatever the approach, you will receive evidence-based, personally tailored treatment via a collaborative partnership. I always want and expect you to push back, correct me, and let me know if an approach isn't working because you are the expert on your own healing.

What you can expect from me

My practice is open-minded and affirming for all. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming environment where you can bring your full self to the room. We are forced to present a persona to the world--therapy should be a place you can feel safe enough to drop that and not feel a need to perform. I am unafraid of deep feelings, and I don't believe therapy is a place for taboos. Your goals are extremely important to me, and we will set and work toward them collaboratively and continue to assess them along the way--you didn't choose therapy for complacence.
