Great to meet you!

I’m Amanda Hamilton, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor and owner of Clarity Connection LLC. I have a Master’s degree in Human Growth and Development with a focus on Mental Health Counseling. Proudly from Eastern Kentucky and embracing my Kentucky accent, I’ve spent years working in rural Appalachia, where I witnessed the many barriers to accessing care. To better support my community, I now offer virtual telehealth mental health services. Over time, I’ve seen how distance, stigma, and limited resources can prevent people from getting the help they deserve, and I’m dedicated to bridging those gaps with accessible, compassionate care tailored to our unique communities. Through technology, we can build hope, resilience, and healing—no matter where someone is in the mountains or valleys of our region. My mission is to help people reconnect with their authentic selves, encouraging emotional growth and confidence. Being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult gave me valuable insight into my own journey, and as a special needs mom, I’m passionate about advocating for inclusion, acceptance, and equality. My son, who also has ADHD, and my daughter, a Cerebral Palsy warrior, inspire me every day. I love connecting with people and hearing their individual stories. I look forward to helping people overcome obstacles and seeing their progress and growth occur.

My approach to therapy

I take a warm, welcoming approach to build trust and connection. I’m genuine, honest, and bring a sense of humor to my work. Using motivational interviewing and evidence-based practices, I support clients on their personal journeys. In sessions, I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a Strength-Based Approach.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, I might come across as a bit nosy, but that’s just part of my job! I gather background information to complete a psychosocial assessment, which helps me determine the best approach for working with the client. I also encourage them to share details about their symptoms and when they began, to support a clinical diagnosis and develop an effective treatment plan.
