Great to meet you!

Hey there! I'm Amanda, and I'm so glad you're here. If anxiety has been stealing your peace, your mind won't stop racing, or you're feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, you don't have to figure it all out on your own. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (M.Ed., LPC), I help teens and adults learn practical tools to manage anxiety, quiet unhelpful thoughts, and build a life that feels calmer and more fulfilling. Outside of the therapy office, I'm a wife, mom, follower of Jesus, avid traveler, and an enthusiastic (but still learning!) home chef. I believe the best therapy happens when you feel comfortable enough to simply be yourself.

After earning my Master's in Counseling from the University of Houston, I gained experience working in both schools and private practice, supporting individuals through anxiety, stress, life transitions, and emotional challenges. I especially enjoy helping people recognize the thought patterns that keep them feeling stuck and replace them with healthier, more empowering ways of thinking. For clients who desire it, I'm also honored to integrate Christian faith and biblical principles into our work together.

My approach to therapy

I see therapy as a partnership. While I bring knowledge and experience in mental health, you're the expert on your own life. My role isn't to tell you what to do—it's to help you better understand yourself and give you the tools to create meaningful change.

Our work together is collaborative, practical, and personalized. We'll identify the thoughts, behaviors, and patterns that may be keeping you stuck, while building healthier coping skills that you can use long after our sessions end. My style is warm, encouraging, and conversational. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, celebrating progress, and being honest about the hard days too. If faith is an important part of your life, we can thoughtfully incorporate biblical wisdom into our sessions—but only if that's something you want.

What you can expect from me

Your first session isn't about having all the answers, it's simply a chance for me to get to know you. One of my favorite questions is, "Why now?" What happened in your life that made this feel like the right time to reach out? From there, we'll explore your goals, your story, and what has shaped you into the person you are today.

Therapy is a place where you don't have to pretend everything is okay. My hope is that you'll feel heard, understood, and supported from day one. Together, we'll begin untangling the stress, anxiety, or uncertainty you've been carrying so you can move forward with greater confidence, peace, and hope.
