Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Amanda Hughes, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oklahoma. I have earned a B.S. in Psychology and M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, along with specialized training in military culture, trauma, and family dynamics. I've worked with diverse populations, including at-risk youth, individuals in the justice system, and those struggling with substance abuse. This experience has equipped me with the skills to address a wide range of mental health needs.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I utilize evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT, combined with the healing power of nature. Our initial session will focus on understanding your needs, followed by a collaborative approach to develop coping mechanisms, build resilience, and improve emotional regulation. Together, we'll work towards a more fulfilling and empowered life.

What you can expect from our first session

I offer a safe space to address the unique challenges of trauma, military life, and high-pressure careers. My holistic approach combines evidence-based techniques with nature's healing power to help clients build resilience, develop coping mechanisms, and find renewed purpose and inner peace.
