Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, NV — licensed 2024) with an MSW (2016) who provides trauma-informed, compassionate telehealth care to children, teens, and adults—especially clients from ethnic minority and military-connected families. I blend evidence-based therapies (CBT, trauma-focused approaches) with creative methods (play and art therapy) to treat trauma, anxiety and panic, depression, grief, and adjustment challenges. My background includes community mental health, schools, and private practice.

As a mother of three, Air Force veteran, wife, daughter, and someone who has navigated her own mental health journey—including anxiety, panic, depression, trauma-related symptoms, and major life adjustments—I bring both professional expertise and personal insight to a warm, culturally sensitive, collaborative space where we work toward practical goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is open-minded, direct, warm, and creative. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where we openly explore your concerns while being straightforward about goals and progress. I use trauma-informed, evidence-based techniques (like CBT and trauma-focused strategies) alongside creative methods (play and art therapy) when helpful.

I collaborate with you to set practical, achievable goals, tailor interventions to your cultural and life context, and teach tools you can use between sessions. I’m flexible in style—compassionate and supportive when you need it, and clear and action-focused when you’re ready to make changes.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect to be greeted with warmth, compassion, and acceptance. I’ll focus on building a trusting, nonjudgmental relationship—because connection is the foundation for change. I will actively listen as you share your reasons for seeking therapy and any immediate concerns, and together we’ll clarify priorities, explore how your background, values, and strengths inform your goals, and begin co-creating a tailored treatment plan. I’ll explain my therapeutic approach and what therapy might look like for you, answer questions about logistics (session length, telehealth, confidentiality), and offer an initial set of practical coping strategies you can try between sessions. My aim is for you to leave feeling heard, respected, and with a clear plan for next steps in a culturally sensitive, inclusive space.
