Great to meet you!

I am an LPC, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor in VA with a MEd. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I specialize in working with children (ages 4+), mothers, college students, and first responders who struggle with perinatal mental health, trauma, work-life balance, and life transitions.

I’m trained in EMDR, Trauma Focused-CBT, and trauma-sensitive yoga. I believe therapy should be flexible and adaptable, using evidence-based techniques that match your unique needs and where you’re at each day. I’m a big believer that laughter can be healing too!

My approach to therapy

In our first few sessions, you can expect a warm and comfortable environment where you feel safe to be yourself. We'll work together to identify your goals and develop a plan that feels right for you. Don't worry about "therapy homework" – I usually don't assign it unless you want it! (And if you don’t do it, that's okay too!) You can expect to learn practical coping tools and have choices for healing. We will find what works best for you.

My practice is unique because I blend specialized trauma therapies like EMDR and TF-CBT with a focus on client empowerment and a touch of humor. I have a special passion for providing EMDR to children. I also offer trauma sensitive yoga techniques, to help the body heal alongside the mind. I understand the challenges of adjusting to college, navigating motherhood, and healing from trauma, and I strive to create a space where you feel truly seen and supported. I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions, and sliding-scale fees to make therapy accessible.

What you can expect from me

I am passionate about this work because I believe everyone deserves to feel joy and experience healing. I love seeing clients discover their inner strength and resilience, and I feel honored to be a part of their journey. I know people are ready to end counseling when they start to practice the skills we rehearsed in counseling on their own, whether it's setting healthy boundaries or replacing anxious thoughts. Most importantly, my goal for clients is that they begin to see a positive future for themselves and look forward with hope.
