Great to meet you!

I have been practicing for 11 years. I am passionate about providing a safe space for trauma survivors, LGBTQ, polyamorous individuals and couples, and alternative lifestyles. I am not a fan of putting people in boxes or following social norms.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in Philadelphia. Previous clients ranged in age from 4 to76 years old, faced complex trauma, systemic struggles, attachment trauma, and severe emotional and behavioral disturbances. I specialize in using trauma informed interventions, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, attachment based, and family systems therapy to help individuals, couples, and families make lasting changes.

My approach to therapy

I have been described as direct, authentic, and humorous. My hope is to join on a deep level to help you grow as an individual and live in alignment with your values without fear. I hope to help couples and families learn how to validate one another and communicate in healthy ways.

I believe most people have trauma that has stunted their growth and attachment to others. I will push you to process and discover root issues and assumptions. I will help you evaluate how these issues and assumptions affect your decision making and the way you interact with others.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, I will briefly introduce myself and tell you about my background. I will explain my role as your therapist and what the first therapy sessions may look like. The rest of the time I will get to know you. I will ask about your past experience in therapy and what your expectations are at this time. I will discuss what brought you to therapy at this time, identify changes you want to make, and make a plan for what you want to work on first.
