Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Amanda Grippi. I am a licensed counselor in both Missouri and Illinois. I earned my Master's degree from Southern Illinois University with a focus in community psychology and I have been in practice for over 20 years. In addition to helping people with Anxiety and Depression, I have advanced training in neurodivergence including ADHD and Autism as well as trauma. I also have extensive experience working with members who identify as LGBTQ+.

My approach to therapy

I work with my clients to find out what approaches fit their individual needs best. Together we can explore the issues you’re dealing with, organize them, so they start to make sense, and plan out how best to solve them. My clients tell me that they appreciate my down-to-Earth approach and authenticity which creates a safe place for them to explore and embrace their authentic selves. Treatment approaches that I commonly use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Attachment Focused Therapy, and EMDR.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my main goal is for us to get to know each other so that you can begin to feel safe sharing your story. We'll go through some standard questions about your history, current needs and goals for therapy.
