Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Amanda. Welcome! I provide a safe, multicultural, intersectional, and affirming space to process trauma, rebuild a sense of agency, and develop healthy relationships with self and others.

I specialize in supporting adults, youth, couples, and families overcome and cope with abuse trauma (physical, emotional, mental, sexual, financial, relational, spiritual/religious, stalking, group harassment, workplace bullying, childhood bullying, neglect), depression, anxiety, self-esteem and acceptance, and women's issues, especially reproductive.

My goal is to help you reclaim safety, confidence, and self-trust. Our time together will focus on reclaiming your voice, identity, healing from difficult endings, and creating new beginnings.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is holistic, humanistic, and trauma-informed. This means that I view each client as a whole individual, considering emotional, physical, mental, and social well-being.

From a humanistic perspective, I believe that people have an innate capacity for growth and healing when they feel genuinely understood and accepted. My role is to provide a nonjudgmental, empathetic, and collaborative space where you can explore your experiences, gain self-awareness, and develop tools for change at your own pace.

A trauma-informed approach guides how I ensure emotional safety in therapy. I recognize how overwhelming experiences can affect the nervous system, relationships, and sense of self. I work gently, prioritizing trust, choice, and empowerment so that clients can process painful memories or patterns without feeling retraumatized.

What you can expect from me

The first couple of sessions are used for your intake. This involves me getting to know you, including your background, symptoms, behaviors, challenges, strengths, supports, therapy goals, and processing any concerns you may have. During the initial intake session, my main goal is to build a strong rapport and therapeutic alliance with you by allowing you to express yourself and to help you feel heard, validated, understood, and supported.
