Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Amanda, a licensed mental health and addictions counselor who provides a warm, compassionate, and straightforward space for those navigating trauma, difficult relationships, life transitions, self-esteem struggles, and feeling stuck in familiar patterns. Therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on creating a space where clients feel safe to be honest and fully themselves. I use evidence-based approaches, including EMDR and CBT, while tailoring therapy to each person’s individual needs, experiences, and goals. I believe in offering both compassion and gentle challenge—helping clients understand their patterns, build self-trust, establish healthier boundaries, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know you, what brought you to therapy, and what you hope to get from the experience. We’ll complete a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment to better understand your history, current concerns, relationships, strengths, and goals, while also beginning to identify areas where therapy may be helpful. Most importantly, this is an opportunity for you to ask questions, get a feel for our therapeutic relationship, and begin creating a space where you feel comfortable being yourself.
