Great to meet you!

Hey! I'm Amanda, and I'm so glad you're here! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Kentucky. I have a passion for working with adults who have a desire to work through past trauma experiences. I am an EMDR-certified clinician and EMDR Consultant in Training and have several other trauma modalities that I pull from. I have experience working in community mental health and psychiatric acute, residential care hospitals, and private practice. Another passion of mine is traveling around the world.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is through the lens of EMDR therapy and the AIP model. I view present-day symptoms or concerns as a link to our past experiences that might have us stuck. I also utilized BSOTR and Authenticity therapy to guide you in processing memories that might be influencing your present-day self! I incorporate humor, compassion, and warmth in my sessions to build a safe relationship with you. I also enjoy incorporating solution-focused, collaborative, and person-centered approaches in the therapy room!

What you can expect from me

Ultimately, clients are likely to walk away from therapy with greater self-compassion, a sense of empowerment, self-awareness, and emotional healing from past experiences!
