Great to meet you!

Welcome. I’m Amanda, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and EMDR-trained therapist who is passionate about helping people heal, grow, and move through life’s challenges with greater confidence and support. I work with individuals who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, and relationship concerns. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, and I believe it is important to have a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard. My goal is to create a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment where you can show up as you are, talk openly about what you’re carrying, and begin working toward meaningful change. I see therapy as a collaborative process, and I want each person I work with to feel empowered as we move through the healing journey together.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is individualized and grounded in evidence-based practices, which means I tailor the work we do to your unique needs, goals, and experiences. I know that no two people are the same, so I aim to meet you where you are and help you build on your existing strengths while developing new tools for growth. In our work together, I may focus on helping you better understand patterns that are keeping you stuck, strengthen healthy coping skills, and build resilience in the face of stress or painful experiences. Whether you are navigating a difficult season in the present or trying to process experiences from the past, I am committed to walking alongside you with care, patience, and support. My hope is that therapy can be a place where healing feels possible and lasting change feels within reach.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will spend time getting to know one another and talking about what brought you to therapy at this point in your life. I’ll ask questions about your background, your current concerns, your goals for treatment, and the strengths you already bring into the room so I can better understand your full experience. This first conversation is also a chance for you to get a feel for how I work and to begin deciding what feels most helpful for you. Together, we will start building a plan that feels supportive, personalized, and realistic for your needs. I want you to know that there is no pressure to share everything all at once. My priority is to offer a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can move at your own pace and feel supported throughout the process.
