Great to meet you!

You’ve been carrying a lot on your own for a long time. On the outside you seem like you’re holding it together, but inside you might feel anxious, low, overwhelmed, or weighed down by past experiences and current stress. I’m Amanda, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and EMDR-trained therapist, and I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, major life transitions, and relationship challenges. You don’t need the “right” words or a polished story here—my goal is to offer a warm, grounded space where you feel safe, respected, and truly heard so we can make sense of what’s happening and help you feel more steady and hopeful.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, gentle, and always paced to your comfort level. I draw from evidence-based therapies, including EMDR—a trauma-focused approach that helps your brain reprocess difficult memories so they feel less intense and less in control of your life. In our sessions, we’ll explore what’s keeping you stuck, practice practical coping tools for your day-to-day life, and build on your existing strengths so you can respond differently to stress and triggers over time.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll slow down and get to know what brings you to therapy now, what you’ve already tried, and what you’d like to feel or do differently. You never have to share more than you’re ready for, and I’ll always check in so you stay in control of the process. If you’re feeling ready to explore therapy, I’d be honored to work with you—reach out to request an appointment or schedule a brief consultation so we can see if this feels like a good fit.
