Great to meet you!

I am Amanda Mooney-Moss. I have been working and counseling with children and families in a variety of settings for the last 20 years. I served as a certified school counselor for many years. I have been a fully credentialed Licensed Professional Counselor for the past 5 years. I took a small break from seeing clients in a private practice setting to pursue other opportunities. I have returned to the private practice setting recently and work with children, teens, and adults.

My approach to therapy

I have experience helping clients through stress, anxiety, relationship issues, coping with grief, loss, finding motivation, self-esteem, and self-confidence. I also work with clients experience life changes. I believe in treating all clients with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our session content and treatment plan to each individual clients unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek out health and healing. I am here to support and empower you in the journey.

What you can expect from me

I begin the therapeutic relationship with an introductory session. This time is to learn more about the client and why they are seeking counseling. We talk about what the client would like to work through and achieve together in our sessions. I believe in creating a comfortable, positive climate to empower clients to look within for answers. I come alongside them in the journey.
