Hello, my name is Amanda, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Nationally certified counselor with previous inpatient and outpatient experience. I obtained my B.S in Psychology with a minor in psychology of children with exceptionalities, then furthering my education by receiving my Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St John’s University. In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer, going on hikes, powerlifting, and reading fantasy novels.
I specialize in working with adults with diagnoses of depression, mood disorders, PTSD, psychosis, substance abuse disorders, personality disorders, as well as other DSM-5 diagnoses; with a passion for LGBTQIA+ related issues and gender affirming care. Often, I utilize a unique and holistic approach with clients and apply multiple techniques to believing it is not always a “one size fits all.”
I will utilize a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, ACT, and DBT techniques in order to aid you in achieving self-actualization. Each therapeutic goal will be created through collaboration between myself, and what your needs are.
