My style is imbedded in experiential theory, meaning, I see our time in therapy as a time to experience something different.
Within this experiential style, I draw from other modalities of therapy that resonate with you. Whether you're the kind of person who needs regimented skill building that Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) has to offer, the kind of person who wants to do more internal discovery that Internal Family Systems (IFS) can provide, or you want to dive into trauma-healing work with Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), we'll work collaboratively on what style seems most effective for you.
I often bring in metaphor, curiosity, and a sense of playfulness to foster insight rooted in the therapeutic relationship. Self-reflection and change is hard enough! You should still be able to laugh and have fun with it.
