Amanda Patterson

Hello! After completing clinical social work studies at Saint Louis University's College of Public Health and Social Justice in 2014 I practiced community mental health in hospice and adult outpatient throughout Monmouth County, NJ till 2022. During this time I became EMDRIA certified (2020), and have continued to grow in exposure with the grief process. Seeing the inextricable link between chronic illness and trauma has fueled my commitment to seek diverse tools for assisting clients while they are living.

Amanda A. Patterson, LCSW offers a deeply integrative approach to trauma recovery, weaving together psychodynamic, relational, somatic, ancestral, and existential therapies. As an EMDRIA-certified therapist specializing in IFS-informed EMDR, she works extensively with complex trauma, attachment disorders, and chronic illness. To support the depth this clinical work requires, Amanda structures her practice around extended psychotherapy sessions, ensuring a safe, dedicated space for acute processing and deep integration. Her practice welcomes diverse populations and stands firmly committed to anti-racist, feminist, LGBTQIA affirmative, and decolonizing therapeutic practices that respect the dignity of all beings.
