Great to meet you!

Great to Meet You

When your job is taking care of everyone else, it's easy to forget that you deserve support too.

First responders, veterans, and their families often carry experiences that others may never fully understand. The cumulative stress, repeated exposure to trauma, and pressure to stay strong can take a toll over time—even when you've learned to push through it. You don't have to carry that weight alone.

I'm Amanda, and I specialize in working with first responders, veterans, and the families who stand beside them. Having grown up in a first responder family, I've seen firsthand how these careers can shape not only the individual but the entire family system. My goal is to provide a space where you don't have to explain the culture before we begin the work of healing.

My approach to therapy

“In order to rise from its own ashes, a phoenix first must burn.” - Octavia E. Butler

I believe every person is capable of growth, no matter where they're starting.

You don't have to leave your strength at the door to ask for help. We'll work together to understand what's underneath the stress, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and build practical tools for moving forward. My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, solution-focused, and grounded in CBT and Motivational Interviewing. I'll meet you with compassion while helping you reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have gotten lost along the way.

What you can expect from me

You don't need to come into therapy knowing exactly what's wrong—or be ready to tell me everything on day one. We'll start where you are. Whether you're carrying cumulative stress, struggling in your relationships, feeling disconnected, or trying to process something you've been pushing down for years, we'll figure out what needs attention first. My goal is for therapy to become one place where you don't have to be the strong one.
